Sarah Beshay
Founder and Principal Barrister & Solicitor
Sarah is our founder and principal, who has been practising as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand since 2017. Sarah has the following background and expertise to offer clients at Ergon Law:
A native Arabic speaker.
A Bachelor of Laws degree from Auckland University of Technology, a Masters Degree in Theological Studies from The Australian University College of Divinity and Certificate Level 3 in Tikanga from Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.
Generalist legal practice at both Waitemata Community Law Centre and Auckland Community Law Centre, two of the busiest community law centres in Aotearoa.
Specialist work as a barrister at Fleming Singleton Law (f.k.a David Fleming), a leading employment law firm in Tāmaki Makarau.
Panellist speaker at the NZ Christian Lawyers Conference 2025.
Co-presenter at the Brightstar Employment Relations Summit 2022.
Presented written and oral submissions at select committees, including the Education and Workforce Committee.
Governance experience as a board member and secretary for Ranui Action Project 2021 - 2023, a grassroots community development organisation in Ranui suburb.
A role model for Inspiring the Future Aotearoa 2024-2025, a programme for sharing careers with students at schools.
